I WANT COMMUNITY!

Loneliness and Self-Doubt Are a Freezing Combination

Warm Up with Some New Friends.

This year has presented particular challenges for students as they navigate collegiate life in the midst of a pandemic, making it more important than ever to have a strong and supportive network. Missing out on social opportunities due to anxiety or lack of confidence could pose mental health risks in a season that is already isolating.

Your Confidence Coach

Alexis Moore Eytinge coaches young women to be confident by helping them build support networks, set relationship boundaries, and make long-term goals. She also teaches self-defense, intuition sensitivity, and safety-planning.
Alexis received her coaching certification from the International Coaching Federation after training at Coach Training World in 2015. She received over 250 hours of training with The Portland Women’s Crisis Line and the Portland Police Bureau's GirlStrength program, a holistic approach to self-defense and violence prevention classes for girls 10-17 yrs.
She has coached young women one-on-one and facilitated groups for four years. Her favorite thing is to watch young women realize their value and begin to expect others to see it too.

This Winter 2021 course will pay particular attention to new struggles presented by Covid19 and virtual learning.

Online College Women's Group Series

A 12-week course designed to create camaraderie, support and success. This one-of-a-kind series begins with eight focused sessions on independence, empowerment, and building strong relationships. The final four sessions provide a time and space outside of school to discuss current challenges, relationships, get support as students practices their new skills, and adjust goals as the seasons change.

Confidence + Certainty

An exercise to reveal each student's core values will begin the series. Narrowing them down to the top four will serve as pillars to guide any decisions or conflicts that come up.

We'll discuss strategies for managing loneliness, depression, and feelings of overwhelm. After discussing several positive self-talk practices, we'll make a plan that feels manageable for improving overall confidence and specific areas of concern.

Independence + Support

Independence requires managing basic needs like getting good sleep, being able to ask for support, and managing money. But everyone is different, so we'll identify what is fundamental for each student and get clear on why managing these needs are important by referencing their core values.

Relationships + Failures

We'll outline what makes for a great relationship by writing a Relationship Bill of Rights. We'll talk through setting boundaries when safety is at risk and when the Bill of Rights is not respected.

Making mistakes is a part of life, so it makes sense to get used to apologizing and recovering from failures. We'll practice strategies and role-play scenerios.
