Developing lasting friendships and identifying support networks for difficult times is a skill, but it's also something that needs to be nurtured by environment. Currently, the opportunities to meet new people and develop friendships are hard to come by. Feeling lonely and doubtful has a negative effect on your mental health and can also make you even less likely to take opportunities and chances to meet new people.
Alexis Moore Eytinge coaches young women to be confident by helping them to build support networks, set relationship boundaries, and make long-term goals. She also teaches self-defense, intuition sensitivity, and safety planning. Her favorite thing is to watch young women realize their value and begin to expect others to see it too. She is certified by the International Coaching Federation.
A 12-week course that provides a fun and safe space to learn and practice skills with a cohort. Through this series, students develop a close network of support outside of college living and classroom settings. Together, participants learn and discuss strategies for handling challenging situations, such as, โWhat do I do if I fail a course?โ, โWhat if I'm nervous about relationship decisions?โ and โHow do I handle my own money for the first time?โ
